1. Who can use Threadlock

2. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your passcode and account secure.
- Important: because of our zero-knowledge design, we cannot see or recover your passcode or encrypted content. If you lose your credentials and recovery options, we may be unable to restore access to your data.
- You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Threadlock to:
- Break the law or facilitate illegal activity
- Harass, threaten, abuse, or harm others
- Distribute malware, spam, or attempt to breach or disrupt the Service
- Exploit, harm, or attempt to exploit minors in any way
- Infringe others' intellectual property or privacy rights
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
4. Your content
You own your content. Because it's encrypted on your device, we don't access it and don't claim any rights to read or use it. You are solely responsible for your content and for having the right to store and send it.
5. Service availability
We work hard to keep Threadlock running reliably, but we provide the Service "as is" and cannot guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features over time.
6. Security & honesty
We use strong, industry-standard encryption to protect your data, and we're honest about its limits: no system is perfectly secure, and we will never claim to be "unhackable." Our architecture is designed to minimize what any breach could expose.
7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Threadlock is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including data loss resulting from lost credentials. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
8. Termination
You may stop using Threadlock and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service and its users.
9. Independence
Threadlock is an independent, privately-owned company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the United States government or any government agency.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "last updated" date and, for significant changes, provide notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
